Rosedale Technical College offers an Automotive Technology program. If you love to change your own oil and perform other basic car maintenance tasks, or you have always loved cars and other vehicles, you may find a rewarding career in automotive technology. See below for a helpful how-to infographic and more information on our program!
What Our Program is About
Our automotive tech program is about teaching our students proper maintenance and repairs for vehicles, a skill that is rising in demand. It is about teaching students to work with equipment that you would find in a commercial garage like lifts, digital and manual wheel alignment machines, and more.
Before completing our program, our students are offered the chance to take ASE Certifications. An ASE Certification is almost necessary in any professional automotive career. A certification promotes excellence in the fields of automotive repairs and maintenance. Our end goal, for all of our courses, is to teach students the skills that they need to potentially obtain a professional career after they graduate.
The Ideal Student
Who is our Automotive Technology course for? It may be the perfect fit for you if:
– You are interested in changing your own oil, tires, or doing other basic car maintenance work.
– You are detail oriented.
– You want to be a trusted authority.
– You like to take things apart.
– You are a problem solver.
– You are a troubleshooter.
– You are good with customers.
– You love working in a shop environment.
Our automotive tech students are often visual and kinesthetic learners. They have often worked in a job or career that required them to work with their hands and be on their feet. Nine to five desk jobs aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay! Our students have learned that there are many alternative options to the typical office job.
Have you ever been changing your car’s oil and realized that you love working on cars? Have you ever helped out a friend or family member with your knack for automotives? If that sounds like you, it’s time to check out our Automotive Technology program and turn your favorite hobby into a career! See our program page to find out what it takes!
