They were willing to work with me and around my schedule. To be able to know that without even asking for help the instructors offered was a big thing I was not expecting and has stuck with me.

ABOUT ROSEDALE’S DIESEL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

For over 70 years, Rosedale Technical College’s diesel mechanic training programs have offered focused, hands-on education that provides the foundational knowledge needed to begin a career as a diesel technician

We have a great team of instructors that have real industry experience and are ASE certified. They guide students through the technical training in the classroom and step in as mentors when students are struggling to focus on their education. Under their instruction, students learn topics, such as hydraulics, transmissions, brakes and suspensions, engine diagnostics, and more.  Students in our diesel degree program also have the opportunity to train and test for a Class-A CDL license.  To learn more about this, contact a member of our admissions team.

Our support doesn’t stop at graduation. We use our network of regional employers to help match students with jobs that meet their goals, whether that be a part-time or full-time job while in school or a full-time position after graduation. While job placement is not guaranteed, we are proud of our job placement rate and work to continuously educate our students on employment opportunities available through our career fairs, mock interviews, employer presentations, and more.

Live, In-Person Training Taught by Real People

We believe that a quality trade education cannot be taught through a computer. We are proud to continue offering our students in-person training on real equipment in our 36,000-square-foot shop. Instructors in our diesel technology programs have worked in the industry and incorporate real-world scenarios to their lessons.

In our training center, our students have the opportunity to work with various diesel-powered vehicles using standard equipment that may be found in the workforce.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, our partners may donate various vehicles or equipment to give students the chance to work in real-world scenarios.

No mechanical experience?  No problem!  Our student population includes individuals with a wide range of knowledge in the diesel field.
