June 22nd is “National HVAC Tech Day.” More than 300,000 certified technicians inspect, service, and install HVAC systems in America. Rosedale Technical College would like to recognize and thank the HVAC technicians in Pennsylvania and nationwide.
A qualified HVAC technician can help homeowners choose the right energy efficient heating and cooling system and provide regular maintenance to keep it running at peak efficiency. This means practical benefits for a homeowner like saving on their energy bills, reducing their carbon footprint, and keeping their home comfortable throughout the year.
“We initiated our HVAC Associates Degree program several years ago precisely to help fill the intense need for good diagnostic technicians in the field. Since then, the graduation rate, job placement, and starting salaries for our HVAC students have been phenomenal. I’m so proud of our program and our instructors who train our students”, said Rosedale Technical College President Dennis Wilke.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statics, “Employment of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers is projected to grow 14 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.” Further, BLS highlights that, “candidates familiar with computers and electronics and those with good troubleshooting skills will have the best job opportunities as employers continue to have difficulty finding qualified technicians to install, maintain, and repair complex new systems.” These are all the critical skills that can be learned through comprehensive training programs that a recognized trade school can provide.
“HVAC professionals sometimes don’t get enough credit for the wonderful services they provide to keep the rest of us comfortable, Mr. Wilke said”. I’m happy to join in with the national day of recognition for these unsung heroes”.
No matter the economy it is likely that there will always be a demand for HVAC technicians. Get more information and schedule a tour today!
