Rosedale Technical College:
A TOP CHOICE FOR PITTSBURGH TRADE SCHOOLS
Perhaps you’re about to exit the days of being a high school student, or maybe you’re thinking of a career switch. Regardless of where you’re coming from, oftentimes, the first thing on your mind is where you’re headed next.
Should you go to college? If so, where should you go? Choosing your next step in continuing your education is important. When you choose a skilled trade that is in high demand due to a lack of people learning the skill, your success becomes that much more important.
Most students graduating high school or adults seeking continuing education in the United States end up at either a traditional four-year college or a community college. But, there isn’t much debate happening on trade school vs traditional college. So, most people don’t know that trade school can be a great option. There’s also a significant unawareness of the high earning potential and satisfaction possible within a technical education and a career in the trades.
Going to a vocational school can provide a great deal of real-world, applied technical skills that can put graduates in a strong position to find not only a good-paying job but a career that can lead to a satisfying life. Our career services have strong placement rates because the skills taught at Rosedale Tech are critical — and in high demand. Our instructors take the time to connect with their students on a personal basis so they can provide as much guidance to continue their success even after graduation.

Let’s take a look at the programs we offer:
Trades in Action and
THE ROSEDALE DIFFERENCE
Skilled trades are never going out of style and will continue to be essential to our communities. Trade work can often be heavy, and it can be very intricate. Altogether, any skilled tradesperson will do many different tasks throughout the course of the day.
When the literal lighting of our buildings depends on it, we have to leave it to the professionals. That means we have to train future professionals and provide as much support as possible to kick-start their careers. As society becomes more and more technologically based, we are likely to have a continued need for technicians to keep it functioning. As long as air conditioners need upkeep, and vehicles remain on the road (whether gas-powered or electric), we will need highly skilled individuals to rush to our rescue. Luckily, the labor statistics prove they’ll be well compensated for it.
Your time is valuable, and we don’t want you spending any more of it wondering if a career in the trades is worth it. Pursuing a trade that is meaningful to you makes it more likely that you’ll enjoy your training program and the life it can lead to. From an automotive technician to an HVAC technician and everything in between, at Rosedale Tech, we make sure our students know about all the possible career paths based on their interests. Our admissions representatives can help guide you toward a program that fits your needs and interests. We take pride in ensuring a positive and inclusive student experience, and we’re excited for you to see it for yourself.
When a student chooses one of our programs and puts in the effort, they practically guarantee themselves a long-lasting and valuable career no matter what direction they go.
How Can You
START YOUR ROSEDALE JOURNEY?
The first thing to do is begin exploring the trades to determine which one will be your best fit. Take a campus tour, and start a conversation with an admissions representative. What trade suits you best? Is training offered in-person or online? Take time to do your research and ensure your choice is a careful one. You’ll also want to look into the possibilities after graduation. Scheduling a shadow day is a great way to spend a day on campus, interact with current students and instructors, and see what it would be like to be a student at Rosedale Tech.
While exploring your post-secondary options, use our College Checklist as a resource when browsing a school’s website or taking a tour.
Do all of your research, and don’t forget that we’re here for you along the way.
