#1 Cochran has pledged $2.25 million to power Rosedale’s mission to cultivate, inspire and educate people seeking to work in the automotive skilled trades. Through the newly established #1 Cochran Technological Excellence Center (TechEx for short), students will be exposed to leading-edge learning environments designed to turn their passion for cars into fulfilling careers.
AS PART OF THEIR ONGOING PARTNERSHIP,

- Enhancements to the Automotive and Collision Classrooms, Labs and Shop Areas

The #1 Cochran TechEx Center’s Automotive and Collision Repair Technology programs are poised to become the premier destinations for students pursuing careers in the industry. We’re excited to preview some of the innovative physical changes we’re making to our facilities, both inside and out.
#1 COCHRAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Thanks to the generosity of #1 Cochran, students from Rosedale Technical College will have the opportunity to pursue their automotive passions through education, no matter their age or socioeconomic background.
#1 Cochran’s intention is to allocate $100,000 in annual scholarships across certain candidate groups as follows:
TECH EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP - $15,000
The Tech Excellence Scholarship is awarded annually to one qualified applicant who is a high school senior and plans on pursuing a career in the Automotive or Collision Repair industry upon graduation from Rosedale Technical College.
CONTINUING THE DRIVE SCHOLARSHIP - $15,000
The Continuing the Drive Scholarship is awarded annually to one qualified applicant who is a high school senior and plans on pursuing a career in the Automotive or Collision Repair industry upon graduation from Rosedale Technical College. The applicant must have attended a CTC or Vocational Tech school for Automotive or Collision Repair.
BREAKING BARRIERS SCHOLARSHIP - $10,000
The Breaking Barriers Scholarship is awarded annually to one qualified non-traditional applicant who plans on pursuing a career in the Automotive or Collision Repair industry upon graduation from Rosedale Technical College.
MAKING THE TRADES POSSIBLE SCHOLARSHIP - $10,000
The Making the Trades Possible Scholarship is a need-based scholarship awarded annually to one qualified applicant who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend school at Rosedale Technical College.
BRIDGING THE GAP SCHOLARSHIP - $5,000/STUDENT
Ten (10) scholarships will be awarded annually worth up to $5,000, based on financial need, to applicants pursuing a career in the Automotive or Collision Repair industry.
Award recipients would be chosen by Rosedale Technical College and approved by the #1 Cochran team. Scholarships are based on multiple factors so all should apply.
#1 COCHRAN TECHCELLENCE PROGRAM
PAID, MENTOR - GUIDED TECHNICIAN TRAINING
New and current Rosedale students also have an opportunity to apply for the #1 Cochran TECHcellence program, one of the finest automotive apprentice training programs in the industry. With multiple locations throughout Southwestern PA and Ohio, accepted students will get hands-on experience in a fully operational #1 Cochran facility as they are taught to use some of the most technologically advanced equipment in the industry.
